BBC’s Big Asian Comedy Night – filming at City Varieties

This is a great opportunity to grab tickets for the filming of some famous standups – and some new faces – as they deliver their take on being a second or third generation immigrant to the UK.

Presented by Nish Kumar, Big Asian Comedy Night will be filmed at 6 p.m. on 11 July and at 8.30 p.m. the same night, whereas the shows will be broadcast over two nights on BBC Two in August, helping to celebrate the BBC’s Big British Asian Summer.

Acts will vary for each, but will over the two nights include Tez Ilyas, Emily Lloyd Saini, Ahir Shah, Eshaan Akbar, Aditi Mittal, Mark Silcox and Sukh Ojla.

The filming is for audience members over the age of 16.  Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

A maximum of 4 tickets, free of charge, available on request – but be aware that even with tickets, you could be turned away at the door because more tickets are sent out than there are seats.  This aims to ensure a full house for filming.  Therefore – arrive early to avoid missing out on an evening which will leave you still chuckling on the way home!

Visit the BBC website’s shows and tours for tickets.
