The FUAM (Friends of University Art & Music) Graduate Art Prize recognises and rewards the excellence of students who have completed their BA studies in Art & Design and Fine Art at the University of Leeds.
In this the 7th year of the Award, The Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery will exhibit the work of four finalists who were selected by an expert panel, comprising Professor Claire Honess (Dean of the Leeds Doctoral College), Dr Hilary Diaper (former Keeper of the University of Leeds Art Collection) and Dr Catriona McAra (Curator, Leeds Arts University).
This year’s finalists are Eloise Burrows (BA Art and Design), Katie Bennett-Rice (BA Art and Design), Bella Marr (BA Fine Art) and Alex Oliver (BA Fine Art) who will work with the Gallery team to create the exhibition, which will open on 14 August until 16 November. Opening times will be Mondays 1 – 5 p.m. and Tuesdays to Saturdays 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is FREE.
We will have to wait until October for the judges to decide on the winner, with the awards ceremony scheduled to take place on 16 October.
