| This local Charity for the homeless, albeit having to take social distancing precautions, set themselves the primary goal of finding temporary accommodation for all rough sleepers, bearing in mind that some do prefer to stay on the streets for a variety of reasons. The team is delivering food parcels and hand sanitiser to those in temporary housing, and to work with other local services (such as Forward Leeds and Bevan Healthcare CIC) to assist those with drug or alcohol dependency. In terms of emotional support and mental health, there is regular contact to listen to concerns and to reinforce that there is someone to turn to when it all becomes too much. |
