The 6th Into Film Festival is set to take place in Leeds 7 – 23 November

Into Film is a film education charity currently engaging with over half of the UK’s schools and their 5 – 19 year olds.  In 2017, almost half a million young people and educators attended the Festival nationwide.

There are 42 FREE screenings and events taking place in Leeds, including:

‘A Beautiful Planet’ in IMAX with a talk by the UK Space Agency

A talk by Ghost Stories Director Jeremy Dyson

Paddington 2, with a talk by the BBFC (British Board of Film Censors)

Autistic-friendly showings of Suffragette and Mary and the Witch’s Flower

Young people can engage in film-making, enter the review writing competition and learn all about careers in film-making, such as Foley artistry and sound design, prop making, costume design, acting and screenwriting.

Six unique thematic strands have been devised and offer teaching resources to help enrich the learning experiences provided by the Festival itself.

The Festival is hosted by film education charity, Into Film, which is supported by the UK film industry through Cinema First and the BFI through National Lottery funding, engaging with over half of UK schools. It is free to all students, supporting education through a carefully curated programme of films and events for schools with topical themes, resources, debates, special events and careers activity. https://www.intofilm.org/festival
