LIFF: What’s Happening Today?
The Leeds Indie Food Festival officially began on 7th May for the very first time as a celebration of the independent food scene in Leeds. Leeds was a hub of activity with a whole range of both food related and non-food related activity all over the city. Today is the last day, but it’s still not too late to head out and experience the thriving food scene in the city. Here’s our round up of events today:

Kids Pizza Making Class

Time: 10:00 – 12:00

Venue: Black Swan

Details: You deserve a bit of time off on a Sunday morning, so let Black Swan’s expert chefs scoop up your little ones for a floury pizza party. Make and top your own pizzas and cook them in their stone baked oven. This is a free ticketed event. Ticket registration needed for children only.

Hungry Eyes: Contemporary Still Life Photography

Details: Featuring work by Maurizio di Iorio (Italy), Molly Cranna (USA), Luke Stephenson (UK) and Corey Bartle-Sanderson (UK) this is a curated exhibition portraying the work of these contemporary photographers, each with their own distinct style and approach, whose commercial or personal work involves using food as a subject.

Process: An Artist’s View of Brewing

Details: An exhibition that blends the worlds of art, design and beer. Check out prints by over a dozen artists taking inspiration from the brewing process curated by The Brewer’s Design Society.

Details: Reuniting Leeds stalwarts Grub & Grog Shop, Leeds Bread Co-op, Noisette Bakehouse and North Star Coffee Roasters in a truly collaborative effort, The Noonshine Cafe will be making a comeback and popping-up on a daily basis for the whole of the festival period
