Head of Steam’s Gaming Utopia

On 1 February, the first floor of a popular Headingley bar will offer a mix of modern and classic gaming, a transformation set to impress.

Head of Steam’s already comprehensive food offering (jalapeno pizza, spiced salt beef and meaty burgers) will from April include Moving Mountain Vegan Burgers, and the additional entertainment will include a US pool table, electronic darts, beer pong and two European shuffleboards.

Iconic video games from the 80s and 90s will provide retro kicks,  SNES will be ready to go with multi-players such as Mario Kart and Goldeneye – and if they’re not your thing, what about Streetfighter and Pac-Man on the vintage arcade machine?

Head of Steam – a Cameron’s Brewery venue – has increased its loyal customer base since it opened in 2016, with its selection of ales drawn from around the world.

Head of Steam Operations Manager David Scott had this to say ahead of the launch:

‘’We’re already proud of what we’ve brought to the table in the thriving student district, but our new gaming floor and vegan offering are going to step things up even further. We wanted to have a good blend of both classic and contemporary gaming, and we’re confident our offering is on point.’’
