Mowgli Street Food

Leeds will be home to Mowgli Street Food’s 11th restaurant when it opens on Boar Lane

Editor’s Note:  The opening of Mowgli is delayed, but is something to add to our list of things to look forward to.

The Indian home kitchen is bringing her ‘signature rope swings, Tolkien trees and amber twinkle’, creating an alluring, magical ambience which should draw diners in.

Founder of Mowgli, Nisha Katona MBE said: “I’m so excited to announce Mowgli Leeds is moving into a beautiful glass-fronted building in one of the coolest cities in the world. Leeds is a city I have hankered after for the last four years. I am very particular about finding exactly the right place and exactly the right building and it has taken this long.”

Mowgli’s first doors opened in 2014 and there are now branches in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Oxford and Sheffield, Leicester and Cardiff.

Nisha said: “The aim of Mowgli is to enrich lives in the cities that she goes to. I will continue to dedicate all my energy into taking Mowgli to the cities that would have her, only as long as they want her.”
