Roxy Arcade – Your next work social. Sorted.

If you like stranger things, classic arcade games and anything 80’s, this is the night for you. Roxy’s have extended their reign over the Leeds bar scene by introducing one of the most inventive bars in Leeds.

Walking down the stairs off the busy street felt like being transported 30 years back in time to a world of arcade games, feel-good music and the perfect solution to feeling those stresses float away.

Roxy’s has nailed the 80’s vibe, with a huge array of arcade machines including classics such as Street Fighter II and Guitar Hero. If the arcade games don’t take your fancy, you can choose to sit in one of the booths in the quieter area of the bar which all come equipped with N64 consoles and enough controllers for some competitive fun and banter whilst you enjoy a drink.

And the drinks are good.

Roxy provides wines, spirits and beers in its £3.50 drinks menu, including its own “Roxy’s beer”, a lager which is the pick of the bunch, as well as the student favourite Red Stripe.

The drinks selection is great and perfectly suited to the audience this venue attracts.  During our evening, the bar area was understandably congested, but the bar staff are excellent, efficient and always happy to help.

The food is simple but effective. Oven cooked pizzas and chunky chips are the go-to option, and they provide a classic taste whilst being substantial enough to hit the spot.

What really hit us is how great this venue is for an after-work gathering or night out; perfect to spend time with colleagues and shake off the day’s tensions.  The competitiveness of the arcade games, low-priced drinks and ideal City Centre location all make it the perfect place for team building and a good time.

This is a place for a night where you can really let yourself go. If you want to embarrass yourself on the dance machine, be schooled on Guitar Hero and have a few drinks all whilst having a relaxing time, this is the place to be.

Roxy’s arcade is open from Wednesday to Sunday and group bookings can be made here.
