À la Bourguignon Here in Leeds!
Fancy a taste of some authentic Boeuf Bourguignon? Burgundy, the latest bar and bistro by the Atlas Pub Group brings a little piece of Burgundian culture right here to Leeds. Together with their tasteful fine wines, delicious cheeses and scrumptious meats Burgundy presents cosy, French-style atmosphere new at Park Place.

Burgundian cuisine is well known for its richness and its use of the region’s fine wines in the preparation of their mouth-watering dishes and sauces. Boeuf Bourguignon and Coq or Vin are two of the most popular and classic Burgundian dishes cooked in a rich red wine with onions and mushrooms, intensified by a range of other delicious ingredients.

This is all available to you to experience right here in Leeds, courtesy of the Burgundy, offering three daily services that begin at breakfast. Located conveniently at Park Place right in the heart of Leeds’ Financial Quarter and serving bright and early at 8.00 am, Burgundy offers the perfect place to drop by for a rich buttery croissant as part of a continental breakfast right before a hard day’s work. Their morning menu includes a varied selection of freshly baked pastries, cereals, cheeses and meat, bread and jams and fruit along with juices, teas and coffees to wash down a hearty breakfast.

Snugly set in a basement a few steps below street level, its warm dimly lit interior is both charming and relaxing. Their homey red and white checked tablecloths, classic maps of beautiful Burgundy adorning the walls and the soft background music all speak of ‘Bourguignon’ and a warmth which instantly pulls at your heartstrings.

Whether it’s Boeuf Bourguignon or Ratatouille served with Parisian baguette, minute steak served with pan roast shallots and pommes frites, or Chablis ham served with green salad, you’re sure to enjoy a spectacular Burgundy style lunch. Served from 11:30 am their plats du jour (daily specials) are all accompanied by a glass of Burgundian wine, a soft drink or Badoit water for just £10. A weekly rotating menu makes the dishes at Burgundy all the more unique.

Alternatively, drop by at the Burgundy after work as they begin to serve their assortments of meat and cheese to complement their wines and drinks from 3.00 pm onwards. Mainly Burgundian but all distinctively French, their wines are of a wide and varied choice and are sourced from Louis Latour. Burgundy is also home to a range of French and Belgian beers that perfectly complement their style and cuisine.

Open daily on weekdays till 8.00 pm and on Fridays till 11.00 pm Burgundy is closed to the public on weekends, largely since they are located in the financial district and their main clientele will not be around. This, however, makes Burgundy a fantastic retreat for birthdays and other special celebrations away from areas of the city that are busier on weekends as it will be available for events and private bookings.

Feel like savouring some distinctive flavours á la Bourguignon? Then step into Burgundy at No 12, Park Place, say bonjour to a world of delightful French cuisine and experience the wonders they bring to your palate.
