The House of Curiosities at Lambert's Yard

14 October 2015
The House of Curiosities at Lambert's Yard
Following on from the girliness of Tuesday night's The Powder Room, Lambert's Yard is set to be transformed yet again for the third instalment of their series of Autumn Consortium events but this time it will be to something, shall we say, slightly more masculine. They'll be trading the cocktails for whisky and some good old Yorkshire grub, the hair and beauty for shoe shining and the chic womenswear for equally stylish menswear with talented designer Timothy Everest being the main focal point of the evening. Gentlemen, get ready for The House of Curiosities.

Located on Lower Briggate, the independent concept store stocks a highly sought after selection of high quality and locally designed garments, accessories, art and homeware from both emerging and established brands. Not just a retail store however, Lambert's also provides a completely versatile events space and one which, with the help of Latitude Wine and Liquor Merchants, Barber Barber, Leeds Farmers Market and Fallow Design's furniture, is set to be converted into a contemporary gentlemen's lounge this Thursday evening.

Prior to the main event which kicks off at 7pm, from 4 until 6pm fashion designer Timothy Everest will be answering any questions for which you've always wanted the answers - about his successful career in the industry as he gets ready to launch his collection at Lambert's Yard, making it the first time the brand has launched outside the capital. Leading the pack when it comes to bespoke tailoring, Timothy Everest made garments for the James Bond release, Spectre, along with the design for Henry Cavill's suits in The Man From U.N.C.L.E so although it speaks for itself, he's well worth checking out. Alongside his collections, Thursday's event is the perfect opportunity to have a browse at highly desired menswear garments and ooh and aah over the likes of Rose & White, Dobson, Campbell Cole and Yorkshire based designer Ross Barr.

Aside from the clothes, kick off your evening with some regional malts made by expert Chris Hill from Latitude Wine and Liquor Merchant as he treats us to a spot of whisky tasting and there'll be snacks aplenty with a delicious selection of vendors attending from Leeds Farmer's Market, providing us with some traditional Yorkshire delights. Don't forget to don your best shoes either, as they're in for a real good polish with the guys behind Barber Barber set to leave you shining.
