Yes Pieminister

Yes Pieminister
There is a wild rumour out there that Yorkshire folk love pies. Pieminister pays homage to the most traditional of dishes, taking the humble pastry casing plus filling formula and doing innovative things with it. Making their Leeds debut early this year on Duncan Street therefore made a lot of sense, and helped to revive the area into a thriving retail and dining hub. Selling multiple re-incarnations of the humble pie, even if you’re not a fan of chunky beef in ale, there are numerous other flavours in the mix. Whichever you pick, for heaven’s sake, just smother it in gravy.

Pieminister first started as an epic pie tour of Australia, inspiring pals and pie enthusiasts Jon and Tristan to foray into pastry themselves. Culminating into numerous but unique pie pubs, restaurants and cafes, Pieminister now bring their own award winning pies into the mix.

As the chilliest of seasons is fast upon us, and festivities descend, why not pie-oneer your Christmas party at Pieminister? With a free to hire events space on the first floor, and a £10 per head award winning festive pie and cocktail combo, your Christmas can be cosy AND classy. The room, with overlooking views onto the iconic Corn Exchange is available to hire all year round but what better time than Christmas, when the office/family/friends are tiring of brussel sprouts and anaemic chipolatas. For full details of the room hire packages, take a look at their website www.pieminister.co.uk/roomhire. Centrally located with a relaxed yet stylish vibe, seasonal events get a little more wholesome at Pieminister. Need another reason to book this season? Any person who books a table for 8 people or more will receive a copy of A Pie for all Seasons worth £14.99. To book a table call 0113 859 1681.

The advent is as full of shopping as it is parties, and Pieminister is also a great post/mid-shopping fuel stop. Take the chill off with their selection of warm festive pies, available from the 16th of November:

• A rich game pie

• A super-luxurious steak and stilton pie

• A Vegetarian Society Approved Cheddar and chestnut pie all of which won a Gold Star in the 2015 Great Taste Awards

• And brand new for this Christmas, a turkey and all the trimmings pie to boot

If you’re making your trip a bit more substantial, Pieminister offer starter platters, cheeseboards and puddings, mid-morning coffee and a cocktail menu for the evenings; Pieminister simply offer a pie and various trimmings for every occasion.
