Israel Nash comes to The Brudenell on 27 January 2019, supported by Joana Serrat.

Texan Israel Nash has announced a UK tour to open 2019, following on from the release of his fifth album, Lifted.  He will be supported by Joana Serrat.

Lifted has been described as ‘a fully realised, psychedelic, experimental, American rooted epic, soaring with meticulously crafted, multi-hued rock’.   From Beach Boys to country rock, it is an impressive work: untamed sometimes; placid and very personal at others.  He recorded the album at his own studio, where he felt he could leave behind the despondency about the current state of politics and use this sanctuary to escape and ultimately to create a representation of his environment, using the sounds of nature and using inspiration to experiment with sound.

“It’s all about finding, searching for little sparks of inspiration. It may be a sound, a groove, a colour, or even an object. Old things are inspiring. Whatever it is, when you find it, it spreads like a conflagration that is out of your control. It doesn’t matter if you’re making a record or living your life, find these inspirations with a vigil eye and watch them change both you and your world.”
