Jessie Jo Stark, embarking on her UK tour, is at Church on 20 November in support for Sunflower Bean, having just completed a US tour with The Vaccines.
She is considered to have established her place as an emerging voice in rock, having opened for Guns N’ Roses and headlined her own month-long residency in Los Angeles at The Echo, with a background firmly in the school of David Bowie and Fleetwood Mac.
“Jesse Jo Stark is a goddamn rockstar, the kind we don’t see much of these days but so desperately miss” – Nylon
“Jesse Jo is a musical tastemaker. She has stripped rock & roll back to its essence of vocal, guitar, bass, drums, and beautiful and haunting melody ripping around three chords and a kicking beat.” – Duff McKaga
Listen to Jessie’s two new tracks “Wish I Was Dead” and “Rot Away” here.
Her last 6 singles – “Down Your Drain,” “Driftwood,” “April Flowers,” “Deadly Doll,” “Fire of Love,” and “Dandelion” (her debut EP was released this summer) – have generated over 1 million Spotify plays and earned praise from fans and critics alike. Five standalone videos for each song from the EP can be viewed here.
