This bank holiday week-end sees World Island return for its second year, expecting 7,500 fans and with 75 acts, including local talent. The Festival takes place at Globe Road on Leeds’ South Bank.
Sampha, Loyle Carner, Giles Peterson, Jungle, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Galaxians, Malaika, Dulahli and Tetes De Pois are just a few of the named acts, and some of Leeds’ most popular DJs will feature, not forgetting the need to feed, satisfied by Pattie Smiths and Manjit’s Kitchen.
After parties will take place at Belgrave Music Hall, Headrow House and Water Lane Boathouse.
Leeds is about to excel yet again. Why be anywhere else?
