Anchor up!
Formerly know as Clarence Dock, this watery spot has gone through a glamorous makeover. Dubbed Leeds’ ‘newest neighbourhood’ it offers contemporary waterside living spaces, retail and office units to let, cafés and restaurants. Leeds Dock has a whole website dedicated to rejuvenating the culture and lifestyle of this up and coming area of Leeds for the modern city dweller.

Leeds Dock is set to become a top hub for emerging businesses with a variety of work spaces available for start-ups or bigger brands. Choose between C and D Block for ‘flexible contemporary workspaces’ or ‘The Engine’ which offers the increasingly popular option of collaborative, flexible working space. The formidable forces of Google have taken up temporary shop with their Digital Garage offering a free business MOT service, giving advice to small businesses to help them flourish.

The Restaurant Boardwalk is a stretch with an abundance of restaurants and bars perfect for visiting after work or on the weekends for waterside al fresco dining. If you’re a restaurateur looking for a premium spot then Leeds Dock offer a variety of spaces. You can enquire on 0113 243 0111 or email info@leedsdock.com to put your own flag in the ground. My Street is the perfect place for lighter coffee and cake, surrounded by a plush landscaped garden walkway in the heart of Leeds Dock.

There is also an abundance of events ranging from markets to races. The latest event will see lovers of vintage celebrate the Keep Calm and Carry On years of the 40s with a VE day celebration, marking its 70th Anniversary. Leeds Dock have teamed up with the Royal Armouries to host a vintage market, fancy dress, vintage 40’s vehicles, live music, dancing and even military style work out routines- sir yes sir!

So how do you get down there? The answer is a cross between the Venetian gondola a New York Yellow cab and actually hailing from Amsterdam, the water taxis Twee and Drei will transport you along the scenic canal route- completely free of charge between 7am and 7pm midweek and 10am and 7pm Saturday and Sunday! Find out where to hop on at http://www.leedsdock.com/getting-here.

Whether you’re a potential resident, leisure seeker or part of the workforce (or why not all three?) Leeds Dock offers a vibrant, contemporary community within a stylish setting.
