Riptide, an innovative theatre company in Leeds, is creating an interactive festive adventure to help restore the spirit of Christmas. The Lost Present is a unique, live experience which will take place from Mon 10 – 16 December.
Anyone can play and will be given a map to send them on their mission, which is to discover magical sets and have magical encounters – all across the City. This is a treasure hunt – a family adventure with a difference.
With the help of the map, you will make your own festive potion, deliver lost Christmas cards to secret places and make wishes. Expect the unexpected along the way – and treats!
Alexander Palmer, the artistic director of Riptide, directs The Lost Present, which Leeds BID has commissioned to be incorporated into the lights and tree trail. This is a completely fresh way for many people to look at theatre and all it has to offer.
If you have children of 6 and above and you can all walk or be assisted between locations, then this immersive experience lasts around one hour. If you prefer to take it at a slower pace and in stages, that’s fine. You just need to hold on to your tickets.
