Yorkshire Dance – Working With Leeds’ Let’s Get Active

Yorkshire Dance is working with people living with Parkinson’s to learn how best to structure dance for them to enjoy.  Dancing benefits those with Parkinson’s.

A 12-week pilot project, Dance For Parkinson’s, begins in Leeds in May, funded by Leeds Let’s Get Active.  Leeds Let’s Get Active helps community programmes reach out to those who may otherwise be overlooked.

Anyone interested should contact Adie Nivison on 0113 243 9867.

Dance For Parkinson’s will take place every Wednesday starting on 9 May at Middleton Community Centre.  The sessions are free.

Look out for other Yorkshire Dance projects – working with those with dementia, with loneliness and with falls prevention.
