Meat:Stack x Anton Stach

Leeds’ loudest burger joint lands the signing of the summer!

Germany international and Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach teams up with Meat:Stack, the award-winning burger spot opposite Leeds Station, to launch the limited-edition ‘Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger’, giving a struggling local favourite a season-opening lift and sending £2 from every burger sold to the Elhadj Diouf Foundation (EDF).

It’s the signing nobody saw coming, and it’s happening opposite the station. Meat:Stack, the Newcastle-born, award-winning burger joint on Bishopgate Street in Leeds, named third at the 2026 National Burger Awards, is kicking off the new Premier League season with the one thing Leeds has been craving almost as much as three points: a burger with Anton Stach’s name on it.

The collaboration is also a lifeline at the right moment. Meat:Stack’s Leeds site sits directly opposite the station, where the ongoing redevelopment works have choked footfall past its door for months. The burger is a chance for one of Leeds’ best-loved independents to remind the City it’s still very much open and for the player to throw his weight behind a business Leeds fans know and love.

Introducing the Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger, a limited-edition special landing at Meat:Stack Leeds on Tuesday 18 August, available through the opening weeks of the season before earning a permanent place on the menu (a run of form even Daniel Farke would take). And true to its namesake, it’s playing for more than bragging rights: £2 from every Stach Burger sold goes to Anton’s charity of choice and one he has worked with for years, Elhadj Diouf Foundation (EDF)

The 6ft 4″ Germany international, who joined Leeds United from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, hasn’t just loaned his name to the bun. On Monday 10 August, Stach rolled up his sleeves in the Meat:Stack kitchen and built the burger himself.

Then, on launch day  Tuesday 18 August,  the man himself returns to Bishopgate Street to meet fans, sign autographs and serve the very first Stach Burgers in person. It’s free to come along, the queue forms opposite the station, and the burgers are strictly first-come, first-served.

Allan Hyslop, founder of Meat:Stack:

“We’ve had a proper baptism of fire, opening up opposite a building site, but Leeds has kept turning up for us, and this is our way of turning up for Leeds. Anton’s a giant on the pitch and, it turns out, no slouch with a spatula. Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger is big, it’s bold, and every single one puts £2 into a cause his family have poured their hearts into for nearly 30 years. Come and get one.”

Callan Hornsby, General Manager, Meat:Stack:

“The building work outside has made life hard for us this year, so I wanted to do something that brought people back to the door. Anton was brilliant about it; a Premier League player giving his time to help a local restaurant get back on its feet says everything about where his head is at, and about this City right now.”

Anton Stach, Leeds United and Germany midfielder:

“Leeds has felt like home from very early on, and a lot of that is the people and the places around the ground, the businesses fans go to before and after a game. Meat:Stack is one of them, and they’ve had a hard time with the building work on their doorstep. The Moustachi Cheeseburger is a lovely nod to my YouTube channel, too.

This is a team on the rise in a city on the comeback, and support has to go both ways. I wanted to back a business Leeds fans care about and raising money for a foundation my family has given so much to at the same time means everything. I’ll be there on the 18th. Bring your appetite.”

Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger available at Meat:Stack Leeds, 3 Bishopgate Street, LS1 5DY, from Tuesday 18 August while the season-special run lasts.
