The Blinders release their debut album, Columbia, on 21 September, ahead of their October/November 22-date UK tour and looking back at their headlining performances at Reading and Leeds Festival.
The album includes Brave New World and ‘L’Etat C’Est Moi’, which was a Huw Stephens Tune Of The Week on Radio 1. This is a remarkable debut, showcasing The Blinders as a significant part of a new generation of British bands who are politically engaged.
Citing Sheffield’s Arctic Monkeys as their local heroes, their inspiration also comes from literary greats George Orwell and Jack Kerouac, together with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kanye West and The Wytches.
