Expressions, Northern Ballet’s festival of inclusive dance, will this year include the premiere of a new digital work with Ability group dancers, directed and choreographed by Ben Wright.
Every Little Thing is a Change is a dance film featuring Northern Ballet dancers alongside dancers from Ability, a course for adults with additional learning support needs.
Also taking to the stage will be the world’s foremost inclusive dance company, Candoco, who will perform their latest work I think we should start over, choreographed by Leeds dance artist Jamaal Burkmar.
Leanne Kirkham, Northern Ballet’s Director of Learning: “We are delighted to be celebrating 10 yearsof Expressions this year and hugely excited to be premièring the first integrated digital work featuring Northern Ballet and Ability dancers. We are so proud of all that Expressions achieves and represents, bringing dancers of all ages and abilities together to celebrate their talents and love of dance.”
All shows are relaxed performances and are designed to be accessible for both performances and audiences alike.
