Learning Partnerships Has a New CEO

The Leeds-based charity tackling poverty through education has appointed Rudolphe Solentini, whose experience in the higher education sector will help to raise awareness of Learning Partnerships, create new relationships with businesses in the region, and increase support for the charity’s work.

Rudolphe previously worked as Director of Learning at the University of Nantes and has also worked at the University of Leeds. He told us: “I’m delighted to have taken up this position and excited about the challenges and opportunities the role will bring. There’s absolutely no doubt about the excellent work the charity has done over the years. I want to build on this by using my knowledge and experience to enhance the organisation’s visibility and work with partners from business and industry who can play a key role in the success of many of our programmes and activities.”

Established over 30 years ago, Learning Partnerships helps adults, young people, families, single parents, children and members of the BAME community people from the most deprived areas in Leeds. In recent months, the charity has seen an increase in participants coming onto its programmes with poor mental health.

Learning Partnerships supports local children and young people through its Let’s Read and 2 Way Street programmes, helping to improve language and literacy skills and in making East Leeds a greener, cleaner area in which to live.
