The annual Festive Fair raised nearly £2,000 for Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.
Christmas came early to St Chad’s parish centre last Saturday, as Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice held their popular Christmas Fair, giving people from the local community the chance to support the charity.

There was plenty of festive family fun to be had, with an array of Christmas stalls to peruse, games and crafts for the little ones and delicious food to savour, all set to the backdrop of seasonal live music.

The annual event is a firm favourite in the local festive calendar, with the community coming together to raise nearly £2,000 for Sue Ryder which will help to ensure patients receive the best possible palliative care.

Laura Hill, Senior Community Fundraiser: “We were thrilled to welcome the local community to this year’s Christmas Fair. It was great to see so many people coming along, getting in the festive spirit and supporting the vital work of our hospice.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers, Rapid Relief, Alwoodley Community Choir, Leeds Concert Band and Treble Eight for their involvement in making the day a success.
We are also incredibly grateful to every single person who purchased something or who made a donation. Each one helps us to be there when it matters with our end-of-life care and bereavement support.”
