UKREiiF’s Charity Cycle Ride: Harrogate Rugby Club on 23 May

Riders will enjoy some of the region’s best roads and some interesting climbs whilst raising money for Yorkshire’s children. Anyone can get involved and 100% of entry fees / donations will be donated to Yorkshire Children’s Charity.

Last year, the Charity Cycle Sportive saw over 150 riders take on some of Yorkshire’s most loved lanes and climbs. The event raised a huge £25,000 for the charity, who are a non-profit organisation helping to transform childhoods across the region and make things better for thousands of disadvantaged children.

The 2024 Sportive has been made possible by the support of DLA Architecture, Edge, Hexa Consulting, Hoare Lea, Moda, Overbury, Quod, RBA, Vinci and Walker Morris.   The event promises to be bigger and better for 2024, with more route and ride options available for all abilities. Richard Osbond, part of the organising committee and Director of Hexa Consulting: “On behalf of all the sponsors we are delighted to host the UKREiiF Charity Cycle Sportive for a second year.  UKREiiF is a huge opportunity to showcase Yorkshire’s world-famous cycling heritage, whilst also raising funds and awareness of everything that Yorkshire Children’s Charity do for our region. Every penny that is raised goes direct to the charity and we hope to attract even more participants to the 2024 sportive.”

Charlotte Farrington, CEO at Yorkshire Children’s Charity: “Yorkshire Children’s Charity is delighted to once again be working with Hexa Consulting and UKREiiF on the Charity Cycling Sportive. The event provides an opportunity to not only raise donations, but to further spread awareness of our cause amongst the UK’s property industry. It is through sustained support that we can make a lasting impact on our community and uplift the lives of children facing adversity. Last year’s event raised a tremendous £20k to go towards our Great Yorkshire Build project at Hilltop SEND School in Rotherham. The Great Yorkshire Build is the Yorkshire property sectors legacy and monies raised at this year’s event will once again be benefitting this initiative.”

Nathan Spencer, Director at UKREiiF: “……. The Charity Cycle Sportive, held in aid of the Yorkshire Children’s Charity, has become a significant highlight of the UKREiiF event. We look forward to another fantastic year of giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children in our region.”
