White Rose: New Community Collection Bank

White Rose Shopping Centre has launched an in-centre Community Collection Bank where visitors can drop off donations to benefit their local community via Leeds South & East Foodbank.

You will find the Community Collection Bank at the Customer Services Centre next to New Look and close to Car Park 6. Items which are particularly needed are: juice, tinned potatoes, coffee, tinned and packet custard and cooking sauces.

Since 2020 White Rose has donated more than £14,000 to Leeds South & East Foodbank, as well as providing laptops to the organisation to help create a digital hub to support users suffering from tech poverty.

Steven Foster, Centre Director at White Rose Shopping Centre, said: “Our partnership with Leeds South & East Foodbank is something we’re truly proud of at White Rose, and we’re pleased to introduce the Community Collection Bank to support them further. We hope the donations made through the centre are of great benefit to our local community.”

Wendy Doyle of Leeds South and East Foodbank added: “I would like to thank everyone at White Rose and all of its visitors for their continued support over the years, which has helped us to provide more than 10,000 meals to families in the local area. The Community Collection Bank will help us feed and support more people, who are needing our services now more than ever.”

The Community Collection Bank is accepting donations indefinitely during White Rose opening hours. For more information, visit https://white-rose.co.uk/
