Two LEGENDARY street food cultures meet head on as Bundobust give the Desi treatment to Mexican classics, while Bundo favourites like Chaat and Poha get a little Latino heat.
Fresh from celebrating their 10th anniversary in Leeds last month; Bundobust recreated fan-favourite specials from over the years and thanked longstanding customers and supporters with a free special edition comic and a weekend long party. Next up, they’re straight into the next exciting menu innovation, especially for summertime.

Bundobust, known for Indian street food, craft beer and award-winning menu innovation, launched a new summer series on 5th August combining Desi and Mexican influence. Too much spicy takes on Tamales, Tacos, Tequila and tons of coriander with these brand new dishes and cocktails for a limited time only.
Earlier this year, Bundo won ‘Best Innovation’ at the Casual Dining Awards, up against some big names from across the UK – being recognised for past menus such as Indo-Chinese and their football ground inspired Euros menu. Now they’re launching their largest limited-edition menu yet!
Bringing Indo-Mexican to life by mixing the classic Bundo Chaat meets esquites with the crunchy Corn Chaat, smokey Chipotle Poha and the team’s favourite, Dhokla Tamales – an iconic Mexican dish made with fermented lentil-flour dough stuffed with okra and potato, traditionally steamed and serving inside a corn husk, served up with a zingy guajillo salsa.
The Achari Tofoo Tacos are built up of garlic kulcha tortillas filled with achari-spiced tofu from Yorkshire’s ‘The Tofoo Co’, topped with refried rajma, and fresh Desi pico de gallo. Not forgetting Bundo’s ‘Naanchos’ – mixing, you guessed it, nachos and naan for the ultimate beer snack.

Launching their most extensive list of drinks specials pays homage to Mexican drinking culture, with a brand new golden lager, plus an agave-heavy menu of limited-edition tequila and mezcal cocktails, all-new chasers and mocktails for the summertime. Even switching up their classic mango flavours to try an Avocado Lassi – sweet and creamy with lime and green cardamom.
Sanja, Bundobust Brewery’s newest tank release, is a dark golden lager – a rich, malty flavour and floral hops, brewed especially to couple with our Indo-Mexican dishes.

The cocktail line-up features favourites created by the team, a Spicy Mango Marg’, Roasted Pineapple Fresca made with Ojo De Dios Mezcal and an alcohol free Pal-No-Ma made with Clean Co tequila. See it off with a Brave Bull chaser, a coffee and El Rayo tequila shot inspired by churros, with a cinnamon spiced orange; a selection perfect for everything from daytime drinks with your pals to late-night fiestas.
Mayur, Bundobust Co Founder: “The flavours in Mexican food have always stood out as something that would align so well with our menu, giving us loads of ideas on how to elevate and innovate our dishes with a Mexican twist and vice versa. There’s something about it that just shouts summertime, and we couldn’t wait to give traditional dishes like tamales a Bundo spin. With both countries being known for their iconic street food culture, we’ve paired our Indo-Mexican food specials with our biggest summer drinks offering yet. We brewed a new beer at the brewery for the occasion, and you’ll find a wider range of classic cocktails, chasers and plenty of alcohol-free options too.”

On the menu to see off the summer until the 8th September, you can pair these limited-edition dishes with Bundo’s classic offering to feast with friends.
