Chophaus Restaurant and Terrace Has Re-opened

Not only has this Oakwood eatery re-opened, but there is also a collection of summer dishes to savour – and there’s a new Wagyu beef menu.

Inspired flavour combinations await the diners, making full use of local produce. It’s clear that Chophaus hasn’t been idle during lockdown!

Succulent Starters include Tuna Tataki with avocado, edamame, lotus root lemongrass and coconut oil. Or Guinness Rarebit Eclair with wild mushroom, seared beef and truffle. For the vitamin conscious, there’s the Super Bowl – with quinoa, pickled beets, feta and pomegranate.

Mouthwatering mains such as Pork Ribs with mustard, honey and soy glaze served with an apple and orange herb salad, or Chicken and Chestnuts Roulade, which comes with a side of seasonal veg, pancetta, lemon emulsion and sage will leave you spoiled for choice – then there is Lamb Rump, served with braised sweet heart cabbage, cannellini, broad beans and jus.

The seafood menu offers Whole North Sea Lobster, paying homage to Asian cuisine. This dish includes dashi broth, wakame, pickled clams and shiitake mushrooms. The Seam Bream is a nod to French gastronomy, with fondant potatoes, courgette, tomatoes, capers and brown shrimp.

Yorkshire Wagyu

Whilst the menu has retained its premium 28 day dry aged cuts and salt aged sharing steaks, there is the addition of a small selection of Yorkshire Wagyu – rump, sirloin and rib-eye.

Desserts, Cocktails and Safety in Mind

There are new desserts here, too, alongside cocktails and a new lunchtime menu. The new menu will also be complimented with some fantastic new desserts, cocktails and an all-new lunchtime menu.

You can choose from two floors on which to dine, or you can opt for the terrace to catch any sunshine.

Throughout lockdown, Chophaus delivered Sunday Roast to homes across the City, selling out weekly. Such was the demand that Sunday Roast is now back at the restaurant, where every care has been taken to ensure that safety measures issued by the government are exceeded.

Guests will be asked to sanitize their hands on arrival, and service will be restricted to tables only. The in-house team will all be wearing masks and gloves, and all areas of the venue will be cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis.

Salvatore Cataldi, Chophaus’ General Manager, said:

‘’After a somewhat challenging 2020, I’m proud to say that the Chophaus team have pulled out all the stops to ensure our comeback is nothing short of a triumph. The response to our lockdown Sunday Roasts was phenomenal, selling out every week. It not only lifted our spirits during tough times, but our customers’ too. The feedback was incredible.

I’d like to say a big thanks to everyone that’s supported us along the way, and can’t wait to see you all back in the restaurant. If you’ve loved Chophaus so far, you’ll be blown away by our new menus. From Yorkshire Wagyu to our exceptional new seafood dishes, we’ve gone to great lengths to deliver the best version of Chophaus yet. North Leeds is in for a treat.’’
