Cosy Club Leeds has recently reopened its doors and in the time it’s been closed has undergone an impressive refurbishment, showing off its retro, inspired interior.
Think velvet seating, low lighting and bold wallpaper that instantly sets the tone for an evening of fine dining or a few casual drinks in the lounge.

One unique detail worth noting is the custom-built fish tank, featuring a Leeds inspired skyline – a clever nod to the venue’s location. The space is well laid out, with a mix of intimate booths and more open seating, ideal for both dinner and drinks, whether you’re visiting for a quick bite or making a night of it.
We began our evening with a bottle of Cash Albali Verdejo from the extensive white wine selection. This was just one option among a wide range, with bottles starting at around £25 and premium labels available going up to around £60.
In addition to the wine list, the venue offers a well-curated cocktail menu, with well-known classics alongside club favourites, as well as a variety of mixed drinks and soft beverages – ensuring there’s something to suit every preference, whether you’re settling in for dinner or simply enjoying a few drinks at the bar.

The dinner menu offers plenty of choice, with something for just about every taste. From small plates and comforting classics, to lighter options and a range of vegetarian meals, too. It’s a well-balanced menu and clearly designed with variety in mind. We chose the mozzarella and ricotta arancini, alongside the Asian buttermilk fried chicken to start. The arancini was creamy yet crisp, and the fried chicken had a delicious sticky coating, with just the right amount of spice. Both were solid starters and a step above gastro cuisine.

For mains, I went with the cosy smash burger, and it was so good… Two beef patties, melted Cheddar, bacon jam, caramelised onions and to top it off, a pot of dipping gravy on the side – definitely an upgrade from your standard burger. I added a side of mac and cheese, which was rich, cheesy and the ideal pairing, plus some chunky chips to round it off.

My guest had the pan-fried fillet of seabass, served with crushed baby potatoes and a dill and caviar white wine sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and served with the thought out, complementary flavours of the sauce, it was a great choice.
Instead of dessert, we ended with a cocktail each. My friend chose a classic cosmopolitan, and I went for the English garden, a light and refreshing drink that had Hendrick’s Gin, elderflower, cucumber and cloudy apple juice.

Despite not having a dessert, there was a great mix on the menu, from rich sweet treats, to lighter bites for those wanting something not too heavy after their meal.
The service from the staff was excellent from start to finish, particularly our server Alice, who was friendly and attentive, topping up our glasses and checking in at just the right times throughout the evening.

Whether you’re popping in for a few drinks or planning a full evening out, Cosy Club Leeds combines good atmosphere, high quality food and excellent service.
