Do the People of Yorkshire Deserve Free Rum?

Of course they do!  Havana Club is teaming up with Revolución de Cuba team, and to celebrate, 20 new cocktails are on the menu!

What’s more, the premier Cuban party bar and the world’s favourite rum brand will hold rum tasting events in Leeds and Harrogate….and the tastings are free!

This is the first time the signature rum brand has changed since Revolucion de Cuba opened its doors in 2011. Havana Club originates from Cuba, which makes the perfect pairing.  It’s also true that Havana Club’s dark and white rums taste great on their own or as the products of some magic mixology stemming from a top-secret drinks laboratory.

There’ll be something for everyone, no matter the occasion, mood or preference. What do you think of Wonder Cola?  It mixes 7 year old rum with Coca-Cola, Fernet Branca Liqueur and Prosecco.  Not sure?  Worth a try, though.  I’m told you’ll not want a straightforward rum and coke ever again.

Want to go dark?  You could try the Espresso Rumtini, using Anejo Especial rum instead of vodka and adding Kahlua, vanilla and fresh brewed coffee.

What about fresh and fruity?  There’s the Flor DeFlamingo: watermelon, honey water, lime and 7 Gran Reserva rum.

Others on the new menu include the Cuban Iced Tea, the Coconut Bramble and an inspired selection of moreish Mojitos. The menu itself is a thing of sheer beauty and takes inspiration from Cuba’s vintage art-deco period, with its vibrant images of colourful characters.

James Lavin, Marketing Manager had this to say about their latest cocktail offering:

“This new menu brings our customers all the thrills and glamour of Havana in its heyday, with modern spirits and an incredible range of flavours. It’s inspired by Carteles, a Cuban pre-revolution lifestyle magazine iconic for its bold, art deco-style illustrated covers and rebellious attitude.  The pages reveal a love of Cuba, its people and defining moments in Cuban art history – and our new menu pays homage to the beautiful covers from nearly 100 years ago.”

To introduce the Havana Club brand partnership with Revolución de Cuba, there will be exclusive rum tasting events held at both the Harrogate (March 11th) and Leeds (March 12th) venues.

Sign up on before March 5th, select your local bar and enjoy cocktails on us for you and your amigos.
