Nomadic Beers Announce Food Fridays and a New Beer

14th August is the launch date for Nomadic Beers’ new concept, Food Fridays, as well as a new bitter, Always Bitter, a traditional British brew at a session strength 3.8% ABV.

Dr Katie Marriott, co-founder of Nomadic Beers, said: “There has been so much focus in recent years on new and innovative beers, showcasing fashionable global hops, which has been fantastic, but you’d be forgiven for thinking we’d forgotten how to make a true classic – British session bitter!

Both our fans and trade have asked for something more traditional, so we came up with Always Bitter. We used classic British hops Fuggles and Goldings and we’re really excited to share this beer with everyone.

We think this is a tasty session beer that will appeal to everyone; traditional ale drinkers as well as those on the look out for different trends and beer styles. It’s a reminder of the great brewing heritage in this country.”

Available in both cask and keg as well as 3 litre and 5 litre containers for takeaway or to order online. As is always the case with Nomadic’s brews, Always Bitter is suitable for vegetarian and vegan beer lovers.

The celebration continues with the introduction of Food Fridays.

Mike Hampshire, who runs Bars, Events and Press for the brewery, said: “Our taproom has been open a few weeks now and we’ve had some great five-star feedback from those who have come; all commenting on how well we are handling health and safety in a coronavirus world, customer service and the quality of our drinks.

The one thing missing though has been food. So, from Friday this week and every week, we will have an independent street food trader join us.

For the traders, we have waived all pitch fees that would usually be charged to them as, like us, they’ve had a really tough time in recent months. That means everything you spend on food will go straight to them.

Keep an eye on our website to find out details of traders in the coming weeks. Expect Cuban, Indian, burgers and more!”

The first trader is Heffe Mojo, a Cuban Street food vendor offering pizzas, Cubanos and ropa vieja, with vegan options available too.

Nomadic Beers Brewery Taproom is open Friday 4pm-9pm and Saturday 12 noon-8pm every week. Food Fridays will run every Friday, with different street food traders each week. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
