Rosa’s Thai Cafe – Now at Trinity

I wonder if, when Saiphin Moore and husband Alex opened their first Rosa’s in London in 2008, it crossed their minds that they might expand to the North and to Leeds in particular……

….and whether Chef Saiphin ever dreamed of bringing the vibrant colours and bold flavours of Thailand to the UK as she grew up on the family farm in the north of that country.

Rosa’s in the Trinity Centre combines the best of British produce with traditional Thai ingredients such as jasmine rice, tamarind paste and coconut milk, all sourced directly from farmers in Thailand, and combined to produce comforting favourites amongst Thai food eaters, as well as those dishes which are less well known.  There are meat-free options, and there are meat-free versions of most items on the menu.

Rosa’s Thai Cafe accommodates 60 customers indoors and 80 on the terrace, for those who want to capture the sunshine and the excellent views of the City.  Rich colours and planting set against white walls continue the vibrant and fresh feel.

Before the launch earlier in May, Saiphin Moore said:

We can’t think of a better place to open our next Rosa’s Thai Cafe. The Leeds restaurant scene is thriving and it’s such an inspiring place for foodies – we look forward to joining them. We’re really looking forward to meeting all of our local customers when we open the doors next month and I’m already cooking up some ideas for Leeds specials to launch later this year – watch this space!
