Roxy Reboots Without Compromise

The 1st August will see all four of Roxy Leisure’s venues re-open with no compromises, either on fun or on safety. Whilst new measures are in place, the expectation is that these entertainment hotspots will be bouncing back bigger and better than before.

All games and tables must be booked in advance for the Roxy Ballroom in Merrion Street and on Boar Lane, as well as Roxy Lanes and Roxy Arcade. Beer pong is available to book for the first time in seven years.

Roxy Leisure decided to delay their relaunch to ensure they have the best formula for combining safety with the pleasure of play. All entrances will have sanitising stations which visitors will have to use prior to taking their seats at their pre-booked tables. Orders and payments will then be made via code scanning at their tables, when all orders will be delivered.

Happily for customers, the layout of each venue has hardly changed and there has been no reduction in the variety of games available.

All tables and gaming areas, machines and alleys will be thoroughly cleaned after each booking to ensure the safety of all employees and customers. Hand sanitisers will be dotted generously around each venue and disposable gloves will be available on request.

Customers can look forward to a tempting menu of food, together with a choice of craft ales and signature cocktails.

Joel Mitchell, Roxy Brand Development Manager, explained:

’To say 2020 threw us a curve ball would be an understatement, but in true Roxy style, we’ve accepted the challenge and are bouncing back to our best. We’re thrilled to be reopening on August 1st and have been working hard to ensure our venues are clean and safe, without taking away any of the fun.’’

‘’We could’ve come back on July 4th, but we wanted to get it right first time and have our venues and team prepped and ready to smash it. If your summer has felt a little washed out so far, I’m confident a trip to one of our Leeds venues will put a spring back in your step. We’re also excited to be offering booking slots for beer pong for the first time, which regulars have been requesting since we opened. We can’t wait to welcome the people of Yorkshire back!’’

Since bursting onto the Leeds scene back in 2013 with their flagship Boar Lane venue, Roxy has gone from strength to strength, cementing itself as one of the UK’s premier bar and gaming brands. This success has snowballed into an impressive portfolio of spin-off bars and sister venues in cities across the north, including Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Liverpool.

Booking at all four of Roxy’s Leeds venues is essential and can be done online here.
