Charlie Cunningham released his second album, Permanent Way, on 7 June this year and one particular track to mark the occasion, Don’t Go Far, which you can listen to here.
Said to capture the ‘deftest melody and the deepest emotion’, Don’t Go Far combines agile guitar with distinctive melody.

Second albums are notoriously difficult, but Charlie Cunningham has met the challenge, retaining his personable appeal whilst vocalising life’s uncertainties – the need for closeness and affection as well as distance and autonomy.
“I’m quite a private person outside of performing,” he admits. “There is some autobiographical stuff in the lyrics, but it flits in and out quite a lot; it’s much more about people generally and their interactions.”
Charlie comes to Leeds after his U.S. tour in September and EU in October. Remaining dates are:
