Leeds-based HR consultancy, Impact HR Consulting Limited, has announced the appointment of
James Balding to lead the health and safety arm of the business.
James, who joins the company as Head of Health and Safety, brings 13 years of health and safety
experience to Impact HR, as well as professional accreditations that include the NEBOSH National
Diploma and certification as a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
(CertIOSH). James is also an experienced City & Guilds Manual Handling Trainer and CDM Principal
Designer and has worked across a broad range of industry sectors, including construction, logistics,
warehousing, engineering and early years childcare.
In his new role, James will lead the development and delivery of health and safety services across
Impact HR’s national client base through consultancy, audits, safety culture reviews and ongoing
advisory partnerships. He will also focus on enhancing Impact HR’s construction safety offering,
providing expert guidance on CDM Regulations and supporting clients undertaking construction
work. James will also offer Principal Designer services, helping clients plan, manage and coordinate
health and safety from concept through to completion, as well as offering tailored health and safety
tools, including policies, risk assessments, safe systems of work, toolbox talks and compliance
checklists.
