Trivial Pursuit: The Iconic Board Game Has Landed in Leeds!

Growing up, you probably played a range of board games. From Cluedo to Monopoly, they each hold a part of our memory.

For those who grew up playing Hasbro’s Trivial Pursuit, now is your chance to relive those memories as the iconic board game has become a life-size adventure, taking over Leeds City Centre until 31st August!

With six locations to find across the City, each location represents a category and a colour and can be played in any order!

Trinity Leeds – entertainment, Wellington Place – geography, Merrion Centre – sports & leisure, Victoria Gate – science & nature, Leeds Corn Exchange – art & literature, and the Royal Armouries representing history!

To add to the intrigue, each question will be introduced by a few famous faces! Ruth Goodman and Daniel Norcross are just a couple of the celebs you may see along the Trivial Pursuit route.

Players have a generous two chances to get their question correct at each location and receive a little triangle sticker for each right answer, to be placed on a cheese-wheel in a small booklet. Once the wheel is full, players can go on to the final, golden question inside the Leeds City Museum and submit their booklets for a chance to win BIG prizes!

The entire game is completely free of charge and allows visitors to see areas of the City they may never have seen before. Created by the team at LeedsBID and in partnership with Hasbro, the Trivial Pursuit adventure is the fourth installation in a series of City-wide trails and is being celebrated as one of the strongest and most interactive attractions to date! With questions all based around Leeds and its rich history, the game makes for an undeniably fun, yet educational, free day out for family and friends.

There are guest appearances from our favourite “celebrities”, Quiz Pine and Trivia Newton-John. These two superstars will be your game hosts for Triv TV! Explaining the game and testing participants’ knowledge, Quiz and Trivia will be sure to give you an extra-ordinary experience.

Each area of Leeds was carefully selected for each category and was thoroughly researched to keep the questions and answers 100% true. My admiration goes out to the entire LeedsBID and Hasbro teams (and everyone in between) – the trail has turned out to be spectacular!

LeedsBID and Hasbro have successfully collaborated and worked day in, day out to bring this summer attraction to life, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!
