Yeadon Town Hall’s Tree of Lights Concert Celebrates Those You Love

The Town Hall Users Group welcomes everyone to the annual Tree of Lights carol event at 7 p.m on Monday 6 December, for what promises to be a moving and uplifting gathering.

As well as supporting the Town Hall’s restoration, the Group – comprised of local clubs, societies and other organisations who use Yeadon Town Hall frequently – also runs special events for the local community, and what better than one which helps us celebrate the festive season together?

Councillor Ryk Downes will introduce several performances including those from BrassNeck Theatre, Yeadon Theatre Company, Futurist Theatre Productions and the Inspiring Voices choir.

Graham Smith, Chairman of the CIC and special guest of honour, will turn up the Christmas tree lights during the event.

Jamie Hudson, Director of Yeadon Town Hall, says: “The Tree of Lights concert is a particularly poignant event, and this year is likely to be very emotional as the community comes together to celebrate and commemorate loved ones. We invite all members of the public to join us on 6th December for what promises to be a respectful and yet uplifting evening.”

Members of the public are invited to submit the names of loved ones, or someone or something they hold dear, to be read out during the event in an act of dedication.

To submit a dedication, visit www.yeadontownhall.co.uk or make a submission in writing by sending the name of your dedication and a small optional donation (made payable to the Yeadon Town Hall Users Group) to the group’s secretary; Peter Cohen – contact the Town Hall for further details and the address.
