Music

Miles Kane

Miles Kane has joined forces with Corinne Bailey Rae on his new single Nothings Ever Gonna Be Good Enough, taken from his highly anticipated new album Change The Show, due to be released by BMG on 21 January 2022.

Miles says of the undeniably catchy and infectious horns-soaked, piano-driven duet, “This is all about that feeling of giving everything you’ve got to something or someone but feeling like you’re never quite getting the same energy back. And how sometimes the harder you try and reach for it, the further away it becomes.” Corinne: “I love this song and can’t get it out of my head. I’m so pleased to be on it with my dear friend Miles.”

Miles is at the 02 Academy Leeds on 1 February, as part of his UK tour.

The Sherlocks

The Sherlocks

UK indie-rock band The Sherlocks have generated a run of critically-acclaimed singles, the latest being World I Understand. Their success will no doubt be reaffirmed in 2022 as they bring the Leeds state of their UK tour to 02 Academy on 5 February. “We can’t wait to get back out on tour with this new record”, says Kiaran Crook. “It is without a doubt our strongest one yet, and one that’s ready-made for the live performances. It’s gonna’ be an absolute monster of a tour and we look forward to seeing you all at the front soon!”

Art & Culture

Some of Britain’s most divisive and troubling subjects will be at the centre of a new contemporary art installation at Left Bank Leeds from 13th – 29th January 2022. ‘Monster’, by renowned sculptor and artist Giles Walker, is a timely, provocative kinetic installation which explores some of the most challenging and disturbing issues that face modern Britain in the contrasting setting of the architecturally stunning former church.

Ben Hart

Ben is bringing his show, Wonder, to Leeds at The Carriageworks on 24 February.

In 2021, Ben created 2 Metre Magic, a show to accommodate social distancing onstage and off, and toured the UK extensively, continuing to spread amazement against the odds and pioneering new magic techniques, allowing audiences to be involved from a distance. “EYE-BOGGLING…HIS SLEIGHT OF HAND IS EXTRAORDINARY” Time Out.
