Following a packed out summer including a BST support slot with Maroon 5, Scottish singer-songwriter Pat Hamilton released his new single ‘Colorado’ on August 28th.
His latest offering is a stripped-back, guitar- led track that turns a genuinely lived experience – falling for someone who was always going to leave – into something closer to peace than pain. With lyrical and melodic intricacy, the song traces his heartache as she returned home to Aspen, Colorado, and moved on into a new relationship. Rather than settling into the shape of a conventional heartbreak ballad, ‘Colorado’ sits with loss and longing from a place of quiet certainty. Hamilton sounds emotionally exposed yet resolved, making for a compelling and deeply human listen.
