Rampage: at Victoria Leeds Multi-Storey Car Park on 3 July

The gladiator-style charity cycling challenge is headed to Victoria Leeds multi-storey car park next week, when competitors tackle the lung-busting climb to raise funds for Yorkshire Children’s Charity.

All money raised will support Leeds-based Yorkshire Children’s Charity, working to improve the lives of children and young people living at a disadvantage due to ill health, disability or financial circumstance.

The rooftop of the Victoria Gate car park will be opened to the public for free spectatorship of the challenge with street food, pop-up brewery and a live DJ.

Rampage is back for 2025 and is set to be bigger and better than ever, with a new headline sponsor: Van Rysel.

Taking place in the Victoria Leeds car park on Thursday 3rd July, riders will push their legs and lungs to the limit in this electrifying knockout cycling event, with live commentary provided by renowned cycling broadcaster, Matt Payne

The Van Rysel Rampage will see cyclists of all ages and abilities take to the summit from 6pm next Thursday. With male, female and under 18 categories, each cyclist will get at least three runs up the top five floors of the car park course. Setting off at 15 second intervals, the quickest riders will compete in a series of head-to-head knockout rounds before the eventual winners are crowned.

The event has been backed on social media by Olympians, Tom Pidcock, Ed Clancy and Jonny Brownlee, as well as professional cyclists Dani Rowe and Fred Wright.

Charlotte Farrington, CEO and founder of Yorkshire Children’s Charity: “We are so excited to relaunch our Rampage event with Van Rysel and are committed to making this a bigger and better event than ever before. Money raised from entries will enable us to continue making a tangible difference to the lives of children living at a disadvantage across Yorkshire, including supporting programmes such as our newly launched Kids on Bikes initiative.”

The rooftop will be providing the perfect alternative to Thursday night drinks……………….

Leeds pizzeria Secret Dough, Bramley bakery Fat Pigeon, and new Keralan restaurant, Uyare, will be providing food, Coldbath Brewery will be serving craft ale and spectators can also enjoy coffee served by The Clubhouse or a hand-made ice cream by Fennells

The event, this year supported by Van Rysel, Victoria Leeds, Veloforte, McLaren Leeds, CAF, Paria, Yorkshire Fence Hire, Link My Ride and more, is being organised by ex pro cyclist, Abby Mae Parkinson – who joined Yorkshire Children’s Charity last year.
