Honey Trap at The Domino Club on 16 January

The Leeds band has just released their debut album ‘You Never Hear The Javelin That Kills You’, so we were keen to see them perform live at The Domino Club.

“A three piece band with the power of about ten.”

The band’s 2025 single ‘Pretty Substance’ and their light reggae sound made a great song for those late summer days and al fresco nights.

Honey Trap’s lead vocalist and drummer, Owen Blythe, delivered an impressive performance with his combination of great voice and confident stage presence.

The band’s mix of personalities suited the Domino Club vibe, their natural assuredness and rapport working well to create great energy and movement.

Owen, guitarist Ben Hughes and bassist Aidan Blythe are clearly passionate about their music, keeping the crowd very much on side with a mix of original songs alongside those long familiar to our ears.

For us, this was a great night, combining the familiar with the fresh – and enough surprises from Honey Trap to keep us wanting more.
