The Big Golf Race: at Oulton Hall Hotel on 23 June

The Big Golf Race Showcases the Power of Partnership at The QHotels Collection.

PGA representatives, leading golf content creators and industry partners, united at Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort to raise awareness and vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

The QHotels Collection has reinforced its commitment to growing the game and supporting men’s health after bringing together some of golf’s biggest names, leading content creators and industry partners for The Big Golf Race at Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort.

Held in partnership with The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and Prostate Cancer UK, the challenge saw sixteen participants take on this incredible 54-hole golf challenge (circa 18-miles) in temperatures exceeding 30°C, demonstrating both the physical challenge and the industry’s collective commitment to supporting men’s health.

Among those taking part were eight of golf’s leading content creators and The QHotels Collection ambassadors, including James Robinson and Callum Beveridge, alongside representatives from the PGA and its partners. Together, they used their platforms to help amplify the campaign, engaging golfing audiences far beyond the fairways, while encouraging conversations around prostate cancer and the importance of early detection.

Throughout the day, participating content creators shared the campaign and donation link across their social media channels, helping raise additional funds and extend the reach of The Big Golf Race.

The event forms part of The QHotels Collection’s wider partnership with Prostate Cancer UK Golf, which includes a year-round programme of fundraising and awareness initiatives across its golf resorts. From donating 10% of Prostate Cancer UK charity golf day bookings to supporting awareness campaigns and activations on-site, the collection continues to use its platform to help drive positive change both within golf and beyond it.

Keith Pickard, Golf, Health Club & Spa Director at The QHotels Collection: “At The QHotels Collection, we’re passionate about using golf as a force for good. Bringing together The PGA, Prostate Cancer UK, leading content creators and our industry partners for The Big Golf Race perfectly demonstrates what’s possible when the golf community works together towards a shared purpose.

This wasn’t simply about playing golf; it was about raising awareness of men’s health, generating
vital funds and using the reach of everyone involved to inspire more conversations around prostate
cancer. We’re incredibly proud to be at the heart of that partnership and look forward to building on
this momentum throughout the year.”

The Big Golf Race has become one of Prostate Cancer UK’s flagship fundraising initiatives, encouraging golfers to challenge themselves while supporting life-saving research, awareness campaigns and support services for men and their families

Duncan Rougvie, Head of Commercial at The Professional Golfers Association: “The relationship between The QHotels Collection, The PGA and Prostate Cancer UK is about much more than a single event: it’s about using the collective strength of our organisations, and the wider golf community, to grow the game, engage new audiences and make a genuine difference.

The Big Golf Race is a perfect example of that in action, bringing together PGA colleagues, partners, content creators and ambassadors to amplify an important message, raise vital funds and encourage more conversations around men’s health.”

The Big Golf Race is just one of several initiatives being delivered through The QHotels Collection’s role as Official Hotel Partner to both The PGA and Prostate Cancer UK Golf, reinforcing th collection’s commitment to growing the game, championing men’s health and using golf to create lasting impact both on and off the course.

Golfers looking to support Prostate Cancer UK can still sign up to take on their own Big Golf Race
with The QHotels Collection and help raise vital funds for the charity’s life-saving work.
