Marcus Brigstocke, at his best live, will be at City Varieties on 18 September. The Daily Telegraph’s opinion is that” Marcus has a rare quality – “making you laugh, think and then fight back the tears.”
This will be Marcus’ first character-driven stand-up, performing as Milton’s Lucifer, the fallen angel in Paradise Lost. Join him as he explores the nature of good and bad, and whether anyone is wholly good or truly wicked; whether people do bad things with good intentions.
We’re used to seeing Marcus as team captain on Argumental, on Live at The Apollo and Have I Got News for You as well as Mock The Week. We’ve heard him on Radio 4, on Just a Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue. This venture into character should prove as memorable, if not more so.
