Mind The Gap’s Survival Kit – A Theatrical Guide to Survival in the 21st Century

Survival Kit poses the question of what we need to survive – and what we cannot live without.

Paul has 20 years’ worth of ‘NOW That’s What I Call Music’ albums; Lorraine can’t live without her phone; Callum has a water pistol and a whoopee cushion; Zara is very attached to a stack of programmes from her favourite musicals……………

This new performance by members of Mind The Gap Academy debuts at The Studio, Bradford on 19 July, when ten actors reveal their chosen essential items, those which enable them to live properly, including family, friends, belonging, shelter – and chocolate.  The audience will be surprised by the revelations of what is important, the big and the small – what generates emotions of sadness, laughter and serenity.

Devised by Academy Director Charli Ward, Survival Kit came in part from the ideas of the performers.  It is choreographed by Karen Bartholomew.
