Northern Ballet’s Dangerous Liaisons Returns to Leeds Playhouse

The bodice-ripping, scandal-dripping tale of love and betrayal is back at the Playhouse from 2 – 11 September, adapted by Northern Ballet, choreographed by David Nixon OBE and performed to music by Antonio Vivaldi.

Two bored aristocrats spin a web of heartbreak and ruin as Northern Ballet’s Sinfonia performs Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, a rousing composition that complements the tale perfectly.

David Nixon OBE: “Touring and performing live is at the heart of why we do what we do and so we are delighted to be back on the Leeds Playhouse stage. As the characters become caught deeper and deeper in a web of betrayal, manipulation and lies, our adaptation of Dangerous Liaisons packs a lot of drama into one performance and shows our dancers at their storytelling best.”
