Northlight Arts Centre at Chapel Allerton

The team at Northlight takes pride in offering a wide variety of events – from art workshops and exhibitions to dance groups and live music. Whether you’re a beginner just exploring your potential or a seasoned practitioner looking to share or even for solitude, Northlight is ready with a warm welcome, hoping to provide the support you need.

As a not-for-profit arts organisation, Northlight Arts Centre is wholly dedicated to promoting creativity, engaging the community, and contributing to the cultural development of the people of Leeds. We take immense pleasure in being a family-friendly creative space.

The cafe serves excellent coffee, cakes and snacks for those taking a break or for a treat after your creative session. The team is mindful of the variety of dietary needs and preferences and will always try to provide for those.

Whilst we are saying goodbye to the summer and potentially our outdoor events, we are pleased to offer our spaces for private occasions. We’re happy to discuss food options and tailor our dishes to ensure you and your guests are well catered for. As we’re a multi-disciplined team, we’re able to provide music, videography and photography, too!

Seven by Seven Vinyl Night

Multiple dates and times

Northlight Arts Centre, LS7 3LW

Great vibes, music, beer and a friendly warm atmosphere are what you’ll find at 7 by 7’s monthly open decks vinyl night. Bring along and play us seven of your 7” 45rpm vinyl singles or just come along and enjoy listening to an eclectic mix of great music. Our ethos is ‘no pressure, no competition, no egos’. Play whatever you like and we relish that variety!

No previous DJ experience is needed – we’ll help you to get started and will make sure you’re all set to play us your tunes. We aim to create a welcoming and non-judgmental space for people to come and play their records with a focus on people who might otherwise not have the opportunity or confidence to do this.

Seven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. We run our sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience.
