North Leeds Charity Beer & Music Festival: at North Leeds Cricket Club on 10 and 11 April

This two-day celebration of real ale, live music and community spirit, organised by the Rotary Club of Roundhay, is set to be bigger and better than ever, bringing together friends, families and neighbours for a proper Yorkshire festival with heart.

Visitors can explore more than 36 cask ales from Yorkshire’s finest breweries, including Kirkstall, Leeds, Ossett, Rooster’s, Daleside, Wishbone, Craven Brew Co and Chin Chin. For those who prefer alternatives, there will also be a Gin & Prosecco bar, as well as gluten-free and alcohol-free drinks.

Festival favourites such as pork pie and peas, samosas and other tasty treats will be available throughout the weekend.

Music is at the heart of the Festival, with Friday evening opening to the sounds of big band swing and lively pop and rock, followed by a full Saturday programme that spans jazz, blues, indie, soul, funk and community choir performances.

Saturday offers a family-friendly afternoon when children can enjoy face painting, craft activities and supervised play areas, giving parents a chance to relax and enjoy the festival atmosphere, while well-behaved four-legged friends are also welcome. Children go free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Since its launch in 2012, the Festival has raised over £100,000 to support youth initiatives, local charities and wider community projects. The event is proudly supported by local sponsors and international partners, including the Rotary Club of Lausanne in Switzerland, helping to make the festival possible and maximise its impact.

One committee member said: “Our headline sponsor, Morley Glass, together with international partners, make it possible to bring the community together and support projects both locally and globally. Every ticket, every pint and every visitor helps make a real difference.”

The North Leeds Charity Beer & Music Festival promises a weekend of great beer, fantastic live music, family fun and community spirit. Tickets are available here.
