The 14th Light Night is Happening on 4 and 5 October

Light Night, Leeds’ annual arts and light festival, will run from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. on 4th and 5th October.

The festival transforms both indoor and outdoor spaces in Leeds, with artwork and performances from local, national and international talent.  This year, the theme is progress and innovation.  An illuminated parade celebrates 100 years of social change.

60 outstanding events in 10 City zones will include light projection, interactive artworks, music, dance and street performances.

Giant humanoids will claim the rooftops and Leeds Civic Hall’s stonework will become a canvas for digital projection.  Leeds Library will celebrate local suffragette heroines and a fire-breathing dragon will dominate the Queens Hotel roof.

This event is FREE, but to gain the most from it and to keep it going, the published guide is priced at £2 per copy – worth every penny.
