Pranzo Italian, owned and run by Chef Owner Marco Greco and with a branch in Horsforth, is celebrating its 7th birthday this month.
All customers with pre-booked tables will enjoy complimentary prosecco on Sunday 18th May to celebrate another year of homemade pasta. “Growth has been possible thanks to the support from loyal locals who love the food we make and the Pranzo experience” comments Marco.
“It’s always been important to include customers in our journey, and enjoying complimentary prosecco with them on Sunday 18th is our way of saying thank you.”

It’s hard to believe it’s only seven years since Pranzo opened its first restaurant in Ben Rhydding. Starting life as an Italian lunch bar employing a handful of people, they’ve come a long way in a short time; a period that has seen economic challenges and a global pandemic.
“I’m so proud of how far we’ve come. In 2018, when we opened, it was me and my dad cooking together in the kitchen. I wasn’t sure how our homemade pasta would be received.
Now we’ve got four great locations across Yorkshire. We’re resilient and we’ve stuck to doing the fundamentals well.”

Pranzo is known for homemade pasta, made fresh every day at each restaurant, authentic Italian ingredients and carefully selected imported wines. It’s these three aspects Marco believes sets Pranzo apart from other restaurants.
“We focus on quality. By using the best ingredients available, we can produce great-tasting homemade pasta, and all our wines are sourced from family-run vineyards who truly care about every single bottle of wine they produce.”
On top of this, new staff members are thoroughly trained. “Our head of training Matt Fenwick ensures all team members are immersed in Pranzo’s history and journey, from my childhood cooking with Nonna and the style of Calabrese dishes to knowing the wine list inside out.”

It’s fair to say this commitment to excellence has cemented Pranzo’s place in the Yorkshire dining scene.
Far from the days in Ben Rhydding, Pranzo Italian now employs over 100 people across its four restaurants, with their York restaurant due to open in the coming weeks.
