It is testament to this now familiar Festival that many of its events sold out long before day one – and yet there are many more just as appealing, just as interesting and just as adventurous, including new participants Vice And Virtue, Moortown Kitchen, Jane Lawson, Spice and Green, Kachumber Kitchen and Copper Spoon Bakery.
New beers are to be launched – Little Bao Boy first beer with North Brew Co; and Beer and Wine Experts at Bundobust. #Eat North adopts some themes – the sea, vegan and a bank holiday special. Laynes brings us Taco Tuesday. There is Hands On Sensuality, and you can learn how to blend spices and to take superb photographs of food and drink.
As always, there are free to attend events such as School Diner, The Pizza and Prosecco Festival, Waterlane Boathouse’s Feast and The Northern Food Fight.
Collaborations include Tapped Pizza with Bundobust and Doner Summer, as well as Whitelocks Yorkshire Pudding Menu with Neon Cactus and The Brunswick. Fettle are teaming up with Tarbetts and Bluebird Bakery with Banh & Mee, Owt and Manjit’s Kitchen.
On Sunday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through the Festival, cocktails will be £5 at The Wardrobe, Hedonist, Poison Cocktail Lounge, Brotherhood, Call Lane Social, Neon Cactus, Tiki Hideaway and cuckoo.
So – whatever your taste in food or in drinks, and whatever your circumstances, it’s really worth having a look at the available events. You’re sure to find something to suit here
