With its Asian-inspired concept, the vibrant and glamorous Ivy Asia will create 110 jobs for Leeds when it opens on 18 October above sister restaurant The Ivy Victoria Quarter. This latest addition to Vicar Lane will be open seven days a week to tantalise customers who are looking for a light lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or Sunday brunch.
The first impression for diners comes from the luminous green onyx flooring, cherry blossom trees and bespoke artwork. Asian fabrics, richly coloured wall covering and gold framed mirrors complete the picture and help create the ambience.
Live DJs will ensure guests are entertained every evening.
Executive Chef Simon Gregory oversees the concept of small plates and sharing dishes. Guests can enjoy a range of dishes from seafood platters and smoked barbeque lamb rumps, to vegetarian and plant-based options such as chilli noodles with glazed Japanese mushrooms, asparagus, cashew nuts and lime, and spinach and mushroom gyozas with fragrant ginger dashi and black truffle.
Favourites from sister restaurants include an extensive sushi and sashimi selection such as wagyu beef barbeque roll, salmon sashimi, spiced yuzu and avocado salsa, and yellowtail three ways. There is also a Lunch Stack set menu of mizuna and cucumber fresh salad, hot & sour chicken with plum, spring onion and cashew, avocado, cucumber and asparagus sushi, and spiced salmon with shiso leaf, green pickled onions, and sesame – and the option to add dessert.
Cocktails such asThe Beijing Sling and Matcha Smash are sure to be popular choices, and the menu includes sakes, wines, Champagnes and Jing speciality Asian teas.
Guests will also be able to book an exquisite private dining area where they can celebrate special occasions in style apart from the restaurant and bar.
