Archive – Coffee House, Bar and Event Space

Once a TV archive (hence the name) the building adjoining Prime Studios will open on Monday 11 February as a coffee house and bar.  With coffee blends regularly updated, brunches and lunches sourced locally, not forgetting our vegan and vegetarian community, this comfortable space is set to welcome all.

Red Bull’s music tour took place in Archive’s event space, proving its worth as a venue for live music, as well as a variety of other events.  Bands FC will be offering over 400 collaboration badges alongside other merchandise from 12 to 20 February, and Archive will no doubt confirm the increased popularity of this venue.

Prime Studios’ Managing Director Ben Hepworth, is very pleased indeed that the tv and wider community have somewhere to eat and drink in comfort:

“Prime Studios is the ultimate multi-use venue, and has hugely diversified since we opened as a film and TV production facility in 2012. As we’ve expanded the site, production activity has increased and new tenants have set up here, but until now, there has been nowhere within reach of the studios for people to eat and drink. ARCHIVE has been a labour of love for me, from start to finish, and caps-off a brilliant twelve months, which has seen us welcome legends like John Malkovich, Rupert Grint, Bill Nighy and Keira Knightley.  I’m thrilled that we are finally ready to open our doors to the public, who will help us to create new stories in this unique community space.”

For the curious, here is a little insight into Prime Studios, kindly provided by Chapter 81:

A thriving independent film and TV production studio and office facility, based on Kirkstall Road in Leeds City Centre. It offers a range of rentable spaces for permanent and short term (production-based) clients, and permanent office space for companies such as Rollem Productions and Wise Owl Films. Recent credits include TV productions The ABC Murders (BBC One), Girlfriends(ITV), and Gigglebiz (CBBC), alongside independent feature films Official Secrets and Hope Gap. Prime Studios has also been the base for music shoots for artists including Nicki Minaj and commercials for big brands such as Adidas and Lloyds TSB.
